Privacy Policy

This policy covers www.rim2rimtire.ca and the information Rim2Rim Tire Centre Ltd., trading as Rim2Rim Tire, collects through it. We are at 7 S Railway St, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A4, and you can reach us at (403) 938-3110 or info@rim2rim.ca.

What we collect

When you contact or book with us. The name, phone number, email address and vehicle details you type into a form on this site, plus whatever you tell us in the message. We use it to answer you and to schedule the work, and nothing else.

When you order tires online. Tire ordering and payment on this site run through TireConnect, a third-party platform. The order details, contact information and payment data you enter there are handled by TireConnect and its payment processor under their own privacy terms. We receive the order and the contact details needed to fit your tires; we never see or store your full card number.

When you simply browse. Standard analytics: pages viewed, approximate location by region, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is collected through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies and similar storage for two purposes: making the tire search work as you move through it, and measuring traffic through Google Analytics so we know which pages are useful. We do not sell advertising on this site and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tire search may not work properly if you do.

Who else sees it

We share information only with the services that make the site work, and only as far as they need it:

• TireConnect, for tire pricing, ordering and payment processing.
• Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Maps), for traffic measurement and the map on our contact pages.
• Our hosting and email providers, which carry form submissions to our inbox.
• Tire and wheel suppliers, when an order has to be placed for a specific product, limited to what the order requires.

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade mailing lists. We will disclose information if a law or a court order requires it.

How long we keep it

Service and purchase records are kept as long as they are useful to you and to us, which for a tire purchase means the life of the warranty. Form messages that do not turn into work are cleared out periodically. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings.

Your rights

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@rim2rim.ca or call the shop and ask for the owner. We will answer within the time the Act allows.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Payment card data is handled by TireConnect's payment processor, not by us. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.

Children

This site is for people buying tires and vehicle services. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the page and the date at the top of it. If the change is significant, we will say so plainly rather than burying it.
