How it works

  1. BRING IT Bring us the quote A screenshot, a printout or an email from another shop, dated inside the last 30 days. It needs to show the tire line, the size, and what they are charging to put it on the vehicle.
  2. WE CHECK We compare like for like Same model, same size, same load and speed rating, and the same work: mounting, balancing, valves, disposal and tax. Another shop, not an online-only seller. That is the only comparison that means anything.
  3. WE ANSWER We match it, or we tell you why not If it is the same tire and the same job, we would rather match the number than lose the work. If it is not, we will show you the difference and let you decide.

Why we do it this way

A tire quote is easy to make look cheap. Leave out the balancing, quote a lower speed rating, use last year's version of the line, or price a passenger tire where the truck needs a light truck casing. All four happen, and all four cost you more later than the difference you saved.

So we compare the whole job, on the same tire, and we say the number out loud. That is the same reason our quotes include mounting, balancing, valves, disposal and tax in the first place: the price you are told is the price you pay.

If somewhere else is genuinely cheaper on the same set, that is worth knowing too. We will tell you, and we will still be here when you want the rotation done.

Straight Answers

What counts as the same tire?

The same manufacturer, the same model line, the same size, and the same load and speed rating. A Defender2 is not a Defender LTX, and a 111T is not a 109H, even when the numbers on the sidewall look close.

How current does the other quote have to be?

Inside 30 days. Tire pricing moves with the supplier feeds, so a quote from last season is not a number anyone can still honour.

Do you compare the tire price or the total?

The installed total, always. A tire price with the mounting, balancing, valves, disposal and tax added on afterwards is not a price, it is a starting point.

What about online sellers?

We do not match online-only retailers, and the reason is that there is nothing to compare. Their number is a tire in a box: no mounting, no balancing, no valves, no disposal, no one to call when it is the wrong fitment. Our number is the tire on your vehicle, finished. Bring it in anyway and we will show you honestly what the gap actually is once the work is added back on.

Do you match wheels as well as tires?

No. The price match is tires. Wheels vary too much by finish, offset and availability for a like-for-like comparison to mean anything, so that one is a conversation at the counter instead.

What if the other shop is genuinely cheaper?

Then we will tell you. We would rather you knew that than found out later, and plenty of people come back anyway for the part that is not on the quote.
